Digitalisation

The concept of moving from analog information management to digital handling is known by many names, Digitalisation and Digital Transformation are two of those. These days more or less everyone talks about it, some in a sense that it’s something new, which it’s not. After all, using computers and software to crunch data has been done for decades and has been a driving force behind improvements to products and services for just as long.

Digitalisation is nothing new to us, our consultants have been doing it long before the word became a bit hyped. We have assisted our clients in many different ways on their digital journeys. Some young where new exciting digital services see the light of day for the first time. Others who have been around for a while and needed help with strategies related to which digital paths to take or how to use technology to operate more efficiently.

The shift is ongoing and unavoidable

A senior VP at a major global company once said –

“We have a dozen committees on digital transformation; we have digital transformation initiatives; we are going full steam on digital transformation…but no one can explain to me what it actually means.”

This is a dilemma faced not only by this VP. It’s far from clear how to adapt business models or products and services to the opportunities that opens up in our connected world. We can support you in this process and through sharing our expertise and experience help your organisation take the right descisions.

So, what can you do for me?

Understanding the potential in new technology and using experiences from one area to challenge traditional concepts in another area has proven to be a successful path to breaking new ground.

We have helped clients in the pharmaceutical sector to connect their products to the digital information flow, enabling both doctors and patients to receive and share information about the effect of prescribed treatments.

Another client, providing public transport services, had our help to define a concept where real time traffic data is used to optimise vehicles usage and at the same time shorten waiting times for passengers.

For an automotive client we took part in implementing a new digital business model for aftermarket services and worked with service design for digitalised customer onboarding.
